These terms apply when you use forgedbyyou.com or place an order with Forged by You. By submitting an order, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the policies linked below.

Products and handmade variation

We make and sell hand-finished 999 fine silver rings. Photographs and descriptions are intended to represent each design accurately, but screen colour, lighting and hand finishing can create small differences in tone, texture and reflection. 999 fine silver is naturally soft and records wear more readily than 925 sterling silver.

Ring size and personalisation

You are responsible for selecting the correct US ring size and checking engraving or other personalised text before submitting the order. Ring width and weight vary by requested design, size and custom specification and must be discussed and confirmed for custom work. We produce the ring according to the information confirmed for the order. Our ring size guide is a guide and does not replace professional measurement where fit is uncertain.

Prices and payment

Store prices are displayed in US dollars (USD). The total shown at checkout is the amount charged by the store, subject to any clearly displayed discount. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion or transaction fees. Payment must be authorised before an order is processed.

Order acceptance and cancellation

An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order. We may contact you to verify unclear personalisation, address or payment information. We may decline or cancel an order that cannot be fulfilled, appears fraudulent, contains an obvious pricing error or violates these terms. Any payment collected for an order we cancel will be returned through the original payment method.

Contact us immediately to request a customer-initiated cancellation or change. Because rings may enter production quickly, a change or cancellation cannot be guaranteed after work has begun.

Shipping and delivery

Orders are dispatched from Guangzhou, China. They normally dispatch within 3 days and normally arrive around 14 days from the order date. These are estimates. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and for import duties, customs taxes, brokerage fees or other destination-country charges. Exchanges and quality issues

An unengraved size issue, or a verified silver material, workmanship or order-fulfilment issue reported within 7 days of delivery, may be eligible for a free replacement under our Returns, Exchanges & Quality Policy. We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges. Engraved or personalised items cannot be returned or exchanged for a non-quality reason. Normal wear and damage caused after delivery are treated as described in that policy.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, submit unlawful content, attempt unauthorised access, or use store content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, text, photographs, branding and product presentation belong to Forged by You or are used with permission. They may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.

Liability and consumer rights

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the order was placed. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms and each order are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before starting formal proceedings, the customer and Forged by You will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute through written communication for 30 days.

Subject to any mandatory consumer rights and jurisdiction rules that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes may be submitted to a competent People’s Court at the place where the store operator is domiciled in Guangzhou, China. Nothing in this section limits statutory consumer rights that apply to the customer and cannot legally be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The version available when an order is placed applies to that order unless a change is required by law.
